Its been the perfect day for watching t.v. and/or listening to the radio. Its also been the perfect day to curl up with a good Sue Grafton book while sipping a hot mug of peppermint hot chocolate.
I did have to venture out once. As I pulled my car out of the garage, I was like cool – the thermometer read 34 degrees. Wait a second! No way! Given a few more minutes outside, the thermometer quickly dropped to 15 degrees.
Here’s to body heat.

I ran this morning–3 miles in 10 degrees, -3 wind chill. Is that gnarly or what?
Instead, I’m spending the weekend curled up under the cat with good movies and books. And some work on my thesis. And maybe some med school applications.

Hardly better, crazier maybe!
Have a warm, fun and productive weekend.

I talked w/ my brother who lives near Birmingham and he said it was 8 degrees at his place this morning (Saturday). I told him we’d had a week of temps in the low 80’s and that I wasn’t sure just how much more of this we could take. Bundle up and stay warm. Spring is just around the corner … in some parts of the world.

I’ve always wondered if she ever made it home, or if she had to face the wrath of the maiden aunt.

I was playing that song for Eyegal Friday night and gave her one of those wink-wink looks and she shrugged her shoulders and said, “Okay, I guess I’ll stay.”

You’re better than I am. I drove to the gym and ran on the treadmill. It’s too cold to be outside.
