I miss Barthez. He has apparently “retired.” He always kept the game interesting (even if not intentionally.) I particularly loved the way he would thwack away balls he could have caught, frequently sending them right into awaiting body parts of opposing players. (Hey, it was so much fun getting one save, why not go for a two-fer, all in thirty seconds!)
In the immortal words of another blogger, “Yo! Barthez! Ever hear of opposable thumbs?”
But I still miss him.

Dropped balls inside the 6 always make for an exciting match–especially if you’re a striker.

Giggle. But you’re in the company of Sandra Bullock and Emma Watson, which in my mind isn’t doing so bad.
Perhaps your could shave your head and be compared to Zizou instead?

Curious: How in the world did you find this one?

These are actual search strings that people used and then ended up at my site. They show up on my stat counter (remember assimilation?).
If I could play like Zizou, then maybe I would. Otherwise, I’m just another dime-a-dozen bald guy.

Oh, you mean like Barthez.

I tried to keep goal the other day while coaching my U19 squad.
I am no Barthez.
