If you haven’t seen the Hollywood ending of this year’s NCAA D-II Men’s Basketball Championship yet, then please go here immediately.
That one’s just begging to made into a movie. Oh wait, it already has been!

I posted that over the weekend, too. That was great. And, I’ve always loved One on One. It’s always been my second favorite basketball-related movie behind Hoosiers.
By the way, speaking of great endings, you need to pay me a visit today…

Greg, you pulled out all the stops on that one. Very, very well done.

Love One On One. The scene where Henry Steele takes speed still cracks me up.
And that soundtrack. Great stuff.

Yes, of course you would like the 70s music! Seals and Croft I believe?
That was one “red hot poker” of a movie, wasn’t it? 🙂

I may have to read this book. I didn’t even know it existed, but looks like a good read. I read Feinstein’s book on the 2000 season in the Patriot league (The Last Amateurs, which was great), and this looks similar.
“Red hot poker”… that still cracks me up every time.

I don’t know Greg. I think I may have had my fill of “mid-majors” for a while!

Its amazing that the guard on the last play seemed determined to stick with a layup and risk the time expiring instead of heaving up a hail mary. That’s what usually happens in those situations. Should get and ESPY this year.

Agreed. That took some big time poise and concentration.
