Hope Springs Eternal in the Crimson Breast
With apologies to Alexander Pope:
Hope springs eternal in the Crimson breast,
Saban struts the sideline, but will he pass the test?
The Bear, restless and uneasy, watching from on high,
Spots Saban’s big straw hat, hangs his head, and sighs.
92,138 for a spring football game.
Roll Tide, Roll.

Number One Son was there; he barely made it in before they shut the gates. It was standing room only.

Ok… I’m officially “skeered”.
Mike the Eyeguy
I’d settle for “skewered” come November. 🙂

Skewered sounds good…..
Even I was amazed…but I wanted to be there too.

Donna, I thought about going, but I had my 1/2 marathon to do and knew I couldn’t make it down there in time.
Number One said it was wall-to-wall crimson and that everyone cheered very loudly, even when there was nothing going on.

Hope the tide does well this year. I grew up as a kid visiting my grandmparents in Tuscumbia at Thanksgiving, watching the iron bowl every year. Good memories. Then I moved to Alabama and was a tide fan until I went to UF and now the tide takes second place.

Matt–
There is still time to turn away from the Dark Side.
Move toward the light…
